I think we'll definitely see some more ladies in the line, and I honestly don't even have a preference for who is next - which is a refreshing position. And 12 of them (of 37 currently) are female. Secondly, Mortal Kombat XI is loaded with cool characters. For starters, McFarlane is well-versed at producing toys for video game properties, even if they're just adding a handful of new figures each year. I have some faith that this newest McFarlane Toys line might be different though. At least the old 90's lines would typically toss in a Sonya Blade. But, no, the recent lines all seem to produce no females other than Kitana. At the very least Mileena and Jade would make for an amazing trio. Each time, of course, part of the excitement is the (always unfulfilled) assumption that there will be more characters made. In the past few years I've picked up three very different versions of the figure. The full body shot featured in the banner certainly has the most going on, but there's a special feel of tranquility in the atmosphere of the closed eyes image that takes us on some kind of journey. ![]() The image where her eyes are closed might be our favorite of this particular bunch. It's almost as though we're meeting her in a dream as the starry night sky serves as a backdrop behind her.Įven in the close ups, the details including tiny freckles, pores, or inconsistencies in skin or clothing materials show just how in-depth designers went while creating the cast of MK11. The deep blue colors surely add to the effect here as we see Mileena's sister in her Mortal Kombat 3 style threads.
